As a clinical and consulting psychologist, my focus is on helping people and organizations navigate life's complexities with greater stability and well-being. My approach is rooted in a blend of psychological science, clinical experience, and my personal mindfulness practice.
My foundation in evidence-based care began with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Kansas, followed by fellowships at Harvard Medical School, McLean Hospital, and Cambridge Health Alliance. Specializing in cognitive-behavioral therapies for severe psychological distress and couples therapy, I had the privilege of helping people connect with their innate potential for resilience and develop practical skills to decrease distress and enhance their overall well-being.
Throughout my career, I have been passionate about integrating insights from academic research into curricula and interventions that help enhance people's quality of life. As the Research Director of the Heartland Forgiveness Project, I led the development of a widely used psychological measure of dispositional forgiveness. This experience deeply informs my clinical work and mindfulness teaching, shaping my understanding of how we can relate to the past to live more fully and freely in the present.
Since 2012, I have dedicated my practice to offering evidence-based mindfulness programs. Today, I work to expand access to these transformative curricula as a teacher, trainer, and supervisor, which includes conducting professional trainings for Oxford Mindfulness, a leading global charity and center for mindfulness research. Whether you are seeking new ways to navigate life's challenges, hoping to deepen your skills as a mindfulness professional, or considering how to bring evidence-based mindfulness to your organization, I look forward to connecting with you.
