Mindfulness-Based Courses

All courses can be experienced in a group setting or adapted for one-to-one coaching. Explore the evidence-based courses I teach below to learn more.

Introducing Mindfulness

Course Overview: This introductory course provides a brief taste of mindfulness practice and theory for those new to the practice or returning after a break. Participants explore three core themes: training attention, learning new ways of being, and understanding the difference between responding and reacting to life's experiences.

Who It's For: Individuals looking for a structured but brief entry point into mindfulness.

Course Structure: 3 weekly sessions | 1-1.5 hours each
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

Course Overview: MBCT is an evidence-based program that combines mindfulness meditation with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. Designed primarily to prevent relapse in people with recurrent depression, the curriculum focuses on dissolving unhelpful habits like rumination and self-criticism, and understanding the patterns of depression. It teaches skills to step out of "automatic pilot," bring attention to the present moment, recognize and meet unhelpful patterns with care and kindness, navigate life's ups and downs with balance, while teaching skills to stabilize attention, be more fully in the present moment, and respond skillfully to distress.

Who It's For: This group course is specifically recommended for people who have a history of depression or are currently experiencing depression.

Course Structure: 8 weekly sessions | 2 hours each
Mindfulness for Life (MBCT-L)

Course Overview: Based on MBCT, this course combines ancient mindfulness wisdom with cognitive-behavioral techniques to help participants integrate mindfulness into daily life. It teaches skills to step out of "automatic pilot," bring attention to the present moment, recognize and meet unhelpful patterns with care and kindness, navigate life's ups and downs with balance, and cultivate a sense of appreciation and joy.

Who It's For: Individuals seeking a comprehensive, skills-based program to foster sustainable positive change and general well-being.

Course Structure: 8 weekly sessions | 2.25-2.5 hours each, plus one 5-hour day of practice
Finding Peace in a Frantic World

Course Overview: Based on MBCT and the bestselling book by Mark Williams and Danny Penman, this program offers a practical introduction to mindfulness. Participants learn to recognize patterns of reactivity, stabilize their attention, and improve their overall resilience to stress through shorter sessions and home practices.

Who It's For: This course is designed for busy adults, including professionals and students, who want a less intensive but highly structured introduction or refresher.

Course Structure: 8 weekly sessions | 1.5 hours each
Interpersonal Mindfulness

Course Overview: This advanced program focuses on applying mindfulness to the complexity of human relationships through deep listening and emotional regulation. It utilizes the Insight Dialogue guidelines to help participants improve communication, reduce interpersonal conflict, and increase self-awareness while relating to others.

Who It's For: This course is exclusively for those who have already completed an 8-week MBSR, MBCT, or MBCT-L course and wish to deepen their practice in a relational context.

Course Structure: 8 weekly sessions | 2.5 hours each, plus one full day of practice
Empowered Relief

Course Overview: Empowered Relief is an evidence-based pain management intervention that provides individuals with essential pain relief skills and is delivered by certified clinicians. It includes cognitive-behavioral skills acquisition, mindfulness principles, and pain neuroscience education.

Who It's For: Individuals who are experiencing acute, chronic, or post-surgical pain.

Course Structure: 1 session | 2 hours
